SEASON 5 PLANS
AthosCraft Season 5 started on June 10th 2023 and will last for roughly 12 months.
It’s still early days, but we’re excited to see what everyone comes up with!
World Organisation
Seed: The seed number will not be revealed at the start of the season.
Firetick will be on.
Build limit: For the first month of the season we will build within +/-1000 blocks from 0,0. The build limit will then increase to +/-3000 blocks. Everything outside of the build limit will be reset when the world is pruned for server maintenance, unless otherwise agreed.
Themed areas: Areas of the map will be dedicated to certain themes. These areas will be selected when a suitable area is discovered and mapped out by any player. Players are free to build in these areas as normal, but must adhere to the common theme.
Shopping District: A suitable area for a Shopping District will be found at season start. Players can freely build shops in this area for selling goods.
Map-art platforms: There will be an area in the End where platforms of different colours are available for creating map art on. Command blocks will be set up to remove any spawning endermen on these backgrounds.
Community Rules
Villager number limit: Each player is allowed to keep 30 villagers in total for farms and trading throughout the whole season.
Community projects (such as War Zone, Nether Hub etc.) will go ahead if a player or group of players starts the project. The people starting the project will have full rights to design and organisation of the project. If no players start a project then it will not go ahead. If the project is not started or left unfinished it can be transferred to another group or person if they request it. There will be a Discord forum that will stay for the duration of the season, where people can call dibs on projects and lay out plans, images and what they would like help with.
Connected Discord: Any player playing on the server must be a member of our Discord, where we chat and share important information. In-game chat will be displayed in a Discord channel, and messages can be sent from Discord to the game chat via this channel.
Teenage family members: We will open up for all members, who have been an active part of AthosCraft for minimum 6 months, to invite family members of 16-18 years old, for whom they are able to act as responsible adults for. Each member is only allowed to be the responsible adult for 2 minors and has to be able to document that there is parental consent and that the teenagers are counselled about what they might hear on an adult server.
Add-ons and texture packs
One player sleeping: When a single player sleeps the night passes, (https://foxynotail.com/add-ons/ops).
Connected glass blocks: Glass blocks will be frameless. Panes will still have the vanilla texture with frames. Clear glass blocks will be near invisible.
Invisible item frames: Item frames will be invisible when placed. Glowing item frames will have their vanilla texture.
Due to the known bug with goat horns (https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-153254), we will add the Goat Horn Community Patch.
Structures: New structures will appear in the world alongside the existing Minecraft structures.
Golems: Players will be able to create the copper and tuff golems.
Currency: We will have coins and bundles and crates of coins as extra items to use as our currency. Players will start with a sum of coins, and more can be obtained by trading with the wandering trader, or later in the season by participating in competitions and community projects.
Player heads: Craft avatars from your player heads and pose them around your world to make cool scenes, (https://foxynotail.com/add-ons/avatars-ex).
Armour Stands and Markers: You will have more ways to pose armour stands and be able to get useful information from armour stands holding a banner, (https://foxynotail.com/add-ons/combo-armorstands-markers-ex).
Mini Blocks: You will be able to buy mini blocks from the wandering trader, (https://foxynotail.com/add-ons/mini-blocks-ex).
Extra paintings with pictures from previous AthosCraft seasons (and maybe other scenes?) will be available to buy from the wandering trader.
A special AthosTrader may be added to the game for special events.
Spectator mode stations, as we had in season 4, will not be available in season 5.
