SEASON 1
Already experienced Minecrafters ArseyRC, Joeb, FilthySuffix and Goldblood had an idea: To start a Minecraft Realm. On the historic day of October 5th 2018 – shortly after the aquatic update had come to the worlds of Minecraft – they set up their own new world led by Arsey: AthosCraft.
Shortly after, more members joined and the almost 7 month-long season quickly saw some amazing creations popping up.
The spawn area was built up nicely, not least due to the efforts of Fallingstar. Should you find yourself there in the beautiful surroundings in need of gear, then various houses nearby offered some much-needed help.The Arcadians soon got together and built a Nether hub, and players built interesting corridors leading to their bases.
Close to spawn became the shopping district of the realm. True to the name of Athos, the shopping district had an Ancient Greece theme, but players were not limited to this building style elsewhere. A big shopping mall was built by Arsey, where players could set up shop along a pillared central hall with a gorgeously decorated roof – and of course an iron golem security guard was needed (and provided by Tony).
Vizzo decided that the shopping district needed a Colossus inspired giant statue, which took most of the season to build! Garth helped build the feet.
Garth also thought it would be a good idea to have a wooden Trojan horse. However, following a lightning strike, this massive structure caught fire and burnt to the ground! The Arcadians were so devastated that it was decided to roll back the realm to save the build, and fire tick has since been turned off in any AthosCraft season!
Both Tony And Arsey’s bases were… let’s be honest… big holes! It has made us wonder, if this is the reason for DC’s constant worry about hole diggers? Those holes contained some pretty impressive farms though, so all that digging (and falling to their deaths) wasn’t all for nothing.
Another community project was the medieval district, where the players came together on Sunday’s for a market!
Close to the end of the season, a futuristic district appeared, but only a couple of builds were finished here before it was decided to start a new season of AthosCraft.
